Welcome. This is the Dermagic Journal — a place for notes, guides, and real recovery stories from the world of natural pet skincare.
Why this journal exists
Dermagic was created because one chemist refused to put her dog down on a vet’s recommendation. Dr. Adelia Ritchie went home, opened her formulation books, and got to work — and what she ended up making went on to help thousands of dogs and cats whose owners had been told there was nothing more to be done.
The journal is here to share what we’ve learned along the way. How to recognise the conditions early. Why steroids so often make things worse. What recovery actually looks like, week by week. And how the four-step Dermagic system fits together.
What you’ll find here
Expect a mix of:
- Plain-English guides to the most common skin and coat problems in dogs and cats — Black Skin Disease, hot spots, allergies, yeast infections, mange and more
- Real recovery stories from customers and from Dr. Ritchie’s own files — before-and-after, what worked, what took longer than expected
- Ingredient and science notes — what’s actually in the products, why we chose each one, and how they work together
- Care guides for everyday grooming, seasonal skin issues, and supporting recovery at home
We won’t pad. We won’t sell hard. We’ll tell you when a vet visit is needed and when topical care is enough.
Where to start
If you’ve come here because your dog or cat is struggling right now, the place to begin is the post on what Dermagic actually is and how the four-step system works. From there, look for the post that matches the symptom you’re seeing.
If you’d rather talk to a real person about your pet’s specific situation, email info@dermagic.eu or call 01624 829575. We answer.
